Chantilly Bracelet

This feminine bracelet features two mid-century glass picture stones depicting courting eighteenth-century couples in Limoges style. This style originated in the eighteenth century and is commonly associated with the production of ornately painted, high-quality china that was most often produced near the city of Limoges in France.

The picture stones are complemented by three vintage pearl buttons we hand-dyed in our studio to match the soft greens and pinks featured in the picture stones.

The pearl buttons in these earrings were made from mussel shells harvested from the Mississippi River by the American Pearl Button Company of Washington in Iowa. A few decades after the button company closed its doors in 1964, the great-grandson of the original owner, decided to sell the remaining stock and we bought it all.

Read about the sweet story of Mighty Mississippi River Pearls on our Buttonology blog.
