The Chevalier Bayard - Cufflinks
The Chevalier de Bayard was a French soldier who lived from 1473 to 1530. After his death, he was revered as “the knight without fear and beyond reproach". He, however, preferred the nickname given to him by his peers that celebrated his fun personality which was "le bon chevalier" or "the good knight".
This button design honors this good-humored warrior and is thought to mimic a nineteenth-century painting by French artist A. De Neuville.
