Give the gift of love, while giving the gift of hope to a child in the foster care system.

We hope you'll join us in raising funds for an organization close to our hearts called Child Advocacy Services (CAS). Through the Children's Advocacy Center (CAC) program, children are offered an opportunity to share their stories of what abuse they observed or experienced in a neutral environment.

When a child arrives at the CAC for the first time, they're handed a jar of buttons and asked to choose one. They keep this button as a reminder of the bravery they showed in sharing their story of abuse and neglect.

We are donating half of the proceeds from each sale to Child Advocacy Services to help support children enduring challenges no child should have to face.

We've handwrapped each of these 60-year-old mother-of-pearl buttons with sterling-plated brass wire and hung them from a simple silver-plated necklace. These buttons were made by the American Pearl Button Company in Washington, Iowa, from Mississippi River mussel shells.

The necklaces come in two sizes with one for adults and one for children, making the set a perfect gift for a mother and daughter. Best of all, your purchase will help a child that doesn't enjoy this important connection.
In these pieces:

  • Vintage Lady Washington Pearl button, circa 1960
  • Sterling-silver plated brass wire and chain
  • Adult button size is ¾” in diameter
  • Child button size is ⅞” in diameter
  • Adult length is 18"
  • Child length is 14"
