These northern European artisans honed their skills for centuries, and then in the early 18th century, they were the first to start pressing hot glass into molds. By the early 20th century, they’d mastered their craft and were exporting exquisitely detailed glass buttons worldwide.
All three buttons in this necklace were hand-pressed in antique molds and manufactured using centuries-old processes. And they all testify to the enduring talents of Czech and German glass artisans.
