We named this striking necklace after one of literature's most notable fictional characters - Tolstoy's Anna Karenina. Like its namesake, it's both physically ravishing and tastefully modest. Also, like Anna, it's sure to capture everyone's eye.

This necklace design showcases a glass button manufactured in a factory in the U.S.S.R. Both the factory and U.S.S.R  are now in history's dust bin. Yet, this button survived and found you!

It also features a beautiful hand-pressed vintage glass opal cabochon manufactured in mid-century Czechoslovakia. This unique piece was manufactured by one of the few remaining Czech button artists still working in modern times using centuries-old manufacturing processes.

In this piece:

  • Vintage Soviet-era glass button, made in a long-closed factory in the U.S.S.R, circa 1950 - 1970
  • Vintage lampworked and hand-pressed red opal glass cabochon, made in Czechoslovakia, circa 1950 - 1979
  • Two brass stampings, made today in the USA in vintage dies
  • Textured brass ring
  • A brass-plated pewter setting made today in the USA
  • Antiqued brass chain
  • It can be worn long at 32” or doubled and worn short at 16”
