Melange in White Earrings

These ladylike earrings showcase two rare and collectible mid-century, West German white moonglow glass buttons. Moonglow glass has an opaque interior, sealed with a clear top, creating a satiny, almost glowing appearance. They were developed by West German button artisans in 1954 and remained popular until the early 1960s.

The moonglow buttons are sweetly offset with a vintage mother-of-pearl button, and a tiny brass flower stamping pressed in vintage dies.
