Our flagship retail store and studio is located in an historic bank building on a sleepy small town street in the Mississippi River town of St. Francisville, Louisiana.
In 1994, Grandmother's Buttons founders, Susan and Donny Davis, purchased their town's most significant historic commercial building and opened a retail store and button museum on the first floor, and installed their offices and jewelry manufacturing studio on the second.
Susan vividly remembers being awestruck as a child by the bank building's sixteen foot ceilings, carved oak panels and mosaic tile floors and never imagined that she would one day own this special building.
Under Grandmother's Buttons stewardship, the store has grown to become the most visited tourist attraction in St. Francisville and was designated as one of the best shops in the south by Southern Living Magazine.
It's the kind of store where visitors linger for hours admiring retail displays in bank teller windows or exploring the button museum located in the refurbished bank vault. The store stocks a plentiful supply of Grandmother's Buttons antique and vintage button jewelry as well as a sophisticated and fun assortment of clothing, home and lifestyle goods.
