These mid-century modern-styled earrings showcase two vintage white glass bars with stylish gold luster feathers originally manufactured as tie bar clips.
They were made in West Germany after WWII. German glassmaking is rooted in Bavaria. When Czechoslovakia became part of the Soviet Union, the resident German glassmakers fled and set up workshops in their new West German communities. They built a thriving glass button industry, and by 1950 West Germany was considered the glass button capital of the world.
