This necklace flaunts two lavish mid-century vintage pieces of jet glass both adorned with imitation silver marcasites.
Marcasites are cut and polished pieces of pyrite. In the 1930s, Czechoslovakian glassmakers started making imitation pressed glass marcasites coated with a bright silver luster because it was so popular in jewelry at the time.
This necklace shows off two fine examples of their work.
You can wear this necklace long, at 34 inches, or doubled up and clasped in the front at 17 inches.
