Lion Rampant - Cufflinks Limited Edition
Lions very commonly depicted in heraldic designs. They traditionally symbolize courage, nobility, strength, and valor. In the twelfth century Lions were incorporated into the arms of the House of Plantagenet, the first English royal dynasty.
The antique buttons used for these cufflinks depict a ‘lion rampant’ which is a lion in profile standing erect with its forepaws raised. The stamped brass lion on these buttons is applied to a mint-condition wood veneer background.
