Navy Goldstone EarringsRegular price $32.00
The navy and goldstone vintage glass octagons in these lovely art deco style earrings are teeny tiny buttons.
Goldstone glass was invented by the Venetians in the 17th century by heating silica and copper oxide until metallic crystals form.
The process was perfected by Czech and German glass artisans in the early 20th century. Sadly, this trade is uncommon today and goldstone glass is becoming hard to find.
In these earrings:
- Small vintage blue & goldstone glass octagon buttons, made in West Germany circa 1950
- Three, midnight blue crystals
- Pronged brass stampings made today in the USA in vintage dies
- Nickel-free & lead-free brass kidney wire closures
- Hangs 1 ⅜”
