We discovered some "pretty in pink" vintage West German glass buttons on our spring button hunting trip. We especially love their gold drizzle accents.
Northern European glass buttons are the most appealing and collectible 20th-century buttons.
Czech and German button artisans honed their skills for centuries, and then in the early 18th century, they were the first to start pressing hot glass into molds. By the early 20th century, they’d mastered their craft and were exporting exquisitely detailed glass buttons worldwide.
