An ephemeral Czech glass butterfly button hangs from this necklace, ready to launch into flight. Luckily it's anchored by a one-of-a-kind antique button and a vintage Czech octagonal aqua crystal.
The butterfly was hand-pressed in antique molds by one of the few remaining Czech glass button artisans still using antique iron molds and centuries-old manufacturing processes.

The antique button is one of the older Victorian-era buttons in our collection, dating from the 1870s. Metalworkers forged the lovely designs on this button by 'hammering' it on its backside to create a low relief design and then chasing it on the front side to sink the metal.
Every antique button is a one and only, chosen just for you, and so will not be identical to the image.
This necklace features a sliding clasp that enables you to adjust its length to suit any neckline. You can wear it as a choker, long pendant, or anywhere in between.
