The antique button is one of the older Victorian-era buttons in our collection, dating from the 1870s. Metalworkers forged the lovely designs on this button by 'hammering' it on its backside to create a low relief design and then chasing it on the front side to sink the metal.
Every antique button is a one and only, chosen just for you, and so will not be identical to the image.
This necklace features a sliding clasp that enables you to adjust its length to suit any neckline. You can wear it as a choker, long pendant, or anywhere in between.
In this piece (from top to bottom):
Antique hammered brass button, circa 1870
Vintage Czech octagonal aqua crystal
Hand-pressed glass butterfly button, made today in the Czech Republic in antique molds
Antiqued brass chain
The chain adjusts via a sliding magnetic clasp from a 15" choker to a 32" long pendant
