Quail Earrings - Birds
The tinted brass quail buttons featured in these earrings resemble the more common stamped brass hunt buttons typically used on Victorian gentleman's’ hunting blazers. These ones, however, are decidedly feminine and likely adorned a women’s gown.
They sweetly exemplify the Victorian age mania for natural history in general and ornithology in particular.
