This art nouveau necklace shows off one of our favorite button hunting finds. Imagine our glee when we found boxes of the Cherry Brand Japanese glass cabochons wrapped in their distinctive orange sakura blossom label in an east coast warehouse.
The brass stamping hanging from the cabochon was carved in the early twentieth century when Art Nouveau was on-trend. Today it is made by a New England company that has produced brass jewelry stampings since before World War I.
In this piece:
- Cherry red glass and goldstone lampworked Cherry Brand cabochon from post World War II allied occupied Japan
- Two brass stampings made today in the USA in antique dies
- Czech glass bead chain and antiqued brass chain
- Length is 16" with 4" extender
